32 Boro Cup

Kimura Performance Partnership

Case Study

Brief Overview

Kimura Performance was introduced to Bobby Kasanga founder of Hackney Wicks FC after coming across all the great work he’s been doing in the community where we spoke about The 32 Boro Cup which aims on helping to combat youth violence by bringing young people together across London’s 32 Boroughs, to grow the grassroots game and improve community relations.

This was a project Kimura Performance was keen to be a part of and help Bobby enhance the experience for young people at The 32 Boro Cup.

The initiative was started in 2019 and has expanded through the years to be bigger and better introducing new brands & a females only football tournament as part of the event.

Outcome

Across the 2 day event Kimura Performance hosted a workshop alongside there partnered companies at Here East in Queen Elizabeth park where young people attended to learn more about the different industries and career opportunities.
On the 2nd day, which was tournament day we sponsored the “crossbar challenge” which was a fun part of the day where everyone had a chance of taking a shot from the halfway line in aim of hitting the crossbar, we brought partners Digital Pie along to capture the event in full and record interviews with participants of The 32 Boro Cup. It allowed Kimura Performance to make a mark within the local community and connect with other companies in attendance such as
Netflix, Barclays, HEY B!G MAN & Selfridges.

The Results

The result is that as a company we reached over 500 young people from every part of London introducing them to different career opportunities and the work we do across Kimura Performance.
